After a long day of competition yesterday, now is time to relax! This year Imagine Cup Malaysia is taking all the competitors to the Manukan Island to enjoy the great view of the island and have some fun water activities. The clean water there enable us to directly see the fish swimming around and great sunny day with wind blowing is definitely an enjoyable day. We also enjoy a great lunch at there too. I don’t want to write too much here, just look at the photos and you will definitely see how much fun the students got there.

Finally it is the day, the day where the top 30 teams from different universities in Malaysia meet together in Imagine Cup 2012 Malaysia local final at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. I have never been to Kota Kinabalu, so I’m very excite to attend the Imagine Cup. Of course I’m also very excited to what students bring this year. Greasemonkey 0.9.20 Beta Avaliable – Fix setTimeOut Problem In User Scripts

Greasemonkey has release the 0.9.20 beta version that fix the timer problem in version 0.9.19. I personally tested out script, it can run without problem using this version. Below I the link to download the latest version of Greasemonkey. Please note that it is a beta version thus you need to manually down it as Firefox won’t automatically update it for you.

Imagine Cup 2012 Malaysia Local Final – Happening Soon at Kota Kinabalu

Imagine Cup 2012 Malaysia local final is just around the corner.  Last year, the Imagine Cup Malaysia local final was held at Kuching, Sarawak where students have a lot of fun there and this year, the final will be held at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah from 16th to 18th of May.  30 teams from different universities and different states which advanced into the semi final round will be there to compete against each other. The winner of the local final will be represent Malaysia to the Imagine Cup worldwide final at Australia, Sydney this coming July 2012.

I was there last year in Imagine Cup 2011 Malaysia local final and there was a lot of fun at Kuching. If you interested to know what happen last year, check out the post Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3. I’m very interested to see what students bring this year because the projects that students develop are getting better and better each year and I hoping to see  something even more exciting this year. Imagine students developing projects that can solve the world toughest problems, it is not an easy tasks and yet their step up to the challenge given by Microsoft.

This year we have 2 Microsoft Student Partners (MSP) whom will be there updating all the latest news about Imagine Cup 2012 Malaysia local final though social media channels. Wendy and I will be telling the story of Imagine Cup 2012 Malaysia final through Facebook, Twitter and Blog. setTimeOut Did Not Function Correctly in Greasemonkey 0.9.19 / Firefox 12

Today I got lot of complains from players whom using MouseHunt AutoBot or Fish Wrangler AutoBot that the script stop working in Firefox. The problem they are facing is the timer only manage to run half way (maybe 2 – 3 seconds) then it stop. While the other browsers can run the script without any problem at all. This is because Greasemonkey just push out their latest update 0.9.19 to your Firefox browser without you knowing and this version screw up the setTimeOut javascript function which is used to run the timer in the script. In version 0.9.19, they claim to have a better version of setTimeOut function wrapper, but in fact it screw thing up. Maybe you wondering why the in game timer run without any problem but that is because they are using the actual javascript engine offer in Firefox and not though Greasemonkey like user script.

What you can do then? For the mean time, use other browsers like Opera or Chrome until there is another update by Greasemonkey that fix this problem. Or you still insist want to use Firefox? Then you will need to downgrade your Greasemonkey version. How to do it? First, uninstall your Greasemonkey add-on in Firefox then restart your Firefox. Then go to install version 0.9.18 instead. you might need to reinstall the user script too. Please note that your friendly Firefox will try to help you update the Greasemonkey to the latest version if you restart Firefox.

Let’s keep our fingers cross that Greasemonkey release an update to fix this mess. I will update you all when a better solution found.

Fish Wrangler AutoBot 1.07 – Fix New Code Update on Fishing Rod

Sound like Fish Wrangler developers are busy updating the game while they updating their game, they also break the script. The script perform a lot of security check so that it make sure it run correctly. Fish Wrangler now using new url http://fish-wrangler.com/fishwrangler/fish-now to cast rod instead of the old url http://fish-wrangler.com/fishwrangler/start. This cause the previous version of the script stop working because it can’t found the link with the old url. They also mixing up facebook domain and fish-wrangler domain name in their link for different browsers which give me a lot of problems and cause the delay for the update.

The new script have fix all those problems and many thanks for players whom activity reporting the problem to me so that I can fix the script as soon as possible. Let’s keep our finger cross that no more code update that can spoil the script. Please continue to report to me if you found any bug or the game developer break the script again.

Fish Wrangler AutoBot 1.06 – Fix For Fish Wrangler Major Code Updates

Thanks for all the players that help reporting the major update in Fish Wranger game. The developer decided to use a iframe to hold the game in Facebook. That is mean the  Fish Wrangler official website is now running in the Facebook Fish Wranger app page. I’m not sure whatever this is a permanent change they want to make so I left most of the previous code in the script just in case they change again, else I will remove those on the next version. Get the new script and continue your fishing. Keep me posted if any update or bug in the script since it is a quick fix.
